Week-end at Hua Hin

First trip out of Bangkok, 2 1/2 hr drive SO.

 

 

Happy mother's day !!!

Yes, again... It is the 3rd Mother's day for Sabine this year !!! We know she owns it with 4 kids...

In Thailand, Mother's day is celebrated on the Queen's birthday. You can see all over the city portrait of her decorated with a lot of flowers.

We did celebrated home with few cakes and art & craft presents made by the kids.

Paragon Siam Ocean

So we went to Siam Ocean Paragon.

We will not compete with Stan's photos (we didn't even try).

First day of school

Backpacks are ready for D day !!!

Waking up at 5:45 AM... School starts at 7:25 and it is a 30' drive by school bus or taxi (it's only 1,5 miles away but the damn traffic makes every foot quite a time consuming adventure.

For the youngest one, it was a bit more difficult but the challenge is much higher too: his first day of school and the teacher speaks a strange language: english.

Luckily, mom was there to help Baptiste

After a few rides and

the help of Miss Kate, everything went well !!!

Ready for school

School starts Monday!!! So everybody is ready, we did got the entire dressing set: uniforms (only shorts as it's too warm all year round to have trousers, so hard !!!), sport equipment, bath suits, caps and to come towels & cups.
As you can guess, the main color is blue.

Our new view

We left Antalya and our wonderful sea view to get a completely different scenic.
We temporarly live on the 29th floor !!! with a wonderful view of the city center of Bangkok.

It is also very interesting to have this construction work next to us (despite the noice, they work 24/7!!!). It's impressive to see how fast they work. In one week, they almost build 2 floors.

After an overnight flight, we landed tired in Bangkok ! First steps of our new life.
